Patrick McGuire

Welcome to Patrick McGuire Recording, Inc.,
a recording studio established in 1984 to give musical artists in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area a quality, relaxed, and affordable place to record. At that time, Patrick, with more than 20 years experience as a working musician, saw a place in the market for a studio that catered to the special needs of the artist. Music recording is still our primary focus. We treat you with the respect you deserve. Our goal is that you leave with your sound, not ours or anyone else's. If you're proud of the work you do here, you'll return and refer others. This service oriented approach has made us one of the most successful studios in our class in North Texas and the Southwest. We never lose sight of the fact that we're a service business and you are why we're here. While we have evolved since our start and we intend to continue our growth, we won't forget who put us where we are and we never will!
We invite you to come experience our artist friendly rates and service!

Bob Miller

After a 30 year career both in medicine and teaching writing, I am proud to consider myself an apprentice songwriter during this phase of my life. I have authored over 150 songs, and have compiled three demo CD's ("Stories from Inside", "Third Body" and "Leverage"). My style is a mixture of country, folk, pop and rock genres. I am a semi-regular performer at the FWSA Open Mic nights each Monday. You may hear my music hosted at http://bobmillermusic.webs.com/

J.D. Monson

                                                  JD_pic_resized.jpg

J.D. MONSON starting singing at the very young age of 3. He won his very first talent competition when he was just 5 years old, entering a contest that allowed children up to the age of 12, receiving a standing ovation for his performance.

J.D. is a Professional Songwriter as well, and was fortunate enough to have one of his songs placed on the hit TV series “Eleventh Hour” on CBS, 2009, and he is very excited about this. Besides being a Professional Singer and Songwriter, J.D. is an awesome Guitarist, Entertainer, and extremely passionate about music.

J.D. is based in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area but has managed to moonlight as a musician on the side for over 20 years, playing venues all over the USA, Mexico and abroad.

J.D. did a singing tour of the Baltic Sea and Germany in 2009, where he continues to sing and entertain people around the world.

He has done numerous television appearances (recently on "My Fair Wedding" TV Show, May 2010) and is often seen on the Johnnie High CMR Show as well as, opened up for the amazing George Strait and sang with Pat Green.

J.D. will surprise you with his ability to perform favorites that you will absolutely love, with his strong, soulful, southern voice from Johnny Cash (J.D. is well known for his authentic Johnny Cash impersonation), Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson impersonation.

J.D. Monson can be booked as a Solo Act (James Taylor, Billy Joel, etc.) with over 500 songs in his repertoire. His band “JD Monson Band” can be booked as a duo, 4 & 5 piece band (w fiddle). J.D.’s band consists of musicians who have many years experience in show business.

They are definitely a C&W Act, but do Texas Country, Classic Rock, & Original Music as well as, be a Variety Band and really keep a crowd entertained.

Each performance can be modified to your needs, whether you prefer background music, dance music, all country, more classic rock, etc.

Everything from Johnny Cash, Jason Aldean to Bob Segar, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn to Reggae. (Variety)

J.D. has an amazing ability to write and compose songs. His signature song is “Rain Makes Corn”, J.D. wrote it over 12 years ago, and to this day, it is still a fan favorite.

Please listen to the words of his original songs and you will see the talent and passion he has for music, as well as some witty humor on there. There is something for everyone on his CD’s. All original songs are copywritten.

If you are patriotic or know anyone in the military “Red, White, and Blue” is your song, and needs to be our country’s theme song. Listen to the words, and you too will be touched.

If you are a farmer or know someone that is, "Over and Done" is dedicated to you.  It was written for his grandparents but is dedicated to the farmers that lost their land as well.

If you are a Jimmy Buffet Fan "Island Way" and "Kissing in the Gulf" are for you.

If you are in the police force, or know someone killed in the line of duty, "Sacrifice" is for you.  This one will give you goosebumps.

"A little girl smiles" is about a child in the hospital with cancer. You too will tbe touched when you listen.

If you like witty humor, "Rain Makes Corn", "Cactus Wine", and "Bowser" are for you.

If you like good old Dancing Music "Music Man", "Trail Dust Slide", "Sad Old Cheating Song", and "Bowser" are for you.

If you are romantic, "In Jayna's Eyes" is for you. If you are a Willie Nelson Fan, you will like "Goodbye Old Walls".

There is something for everyone. Click on the music link to hear his original music at www.jdmonson.com.
