Fort Worth Songwriters Association: Membership Profiles

Sylvia Espiricueta

Those who have experienced Delua agree she can rock the house. Bo Peep, music promoter, said: "You're like an angel. You're spiritual. You reached me."
In 2002, Delua was being considered for an inspirational CD project by the Society of Future Recording Artists, and Songwriters. NYC Fame believed her music to have great writing skills and the best they've heard. Delua was asked to write a theme song for a cable TV show.
Delua, an ASCAP member, has her 1st CD-Contemporary Christian Music, "After the Rain Comes the Sun," available at Family Christian and Viva Life Stores. At Delua's very 1st showcase (Music for Life), in Vidalia, GA, she received a standing ovation, from the beginning to the end of her song, "Breathe Thru Me," with clapping, cheering, and screaming applause.
Delua stared her professional music career in March, 2001, singing her radio commercial jingle for Aamatic Transmissions. Since childhood, she has written over 300 songs, and is author to four books. Delua is also a whole brain potential consultant.
By May 2002, Delua appeared on local television (Channel 52-KFWD) on Texas Talent Search and gained appeal with the Spanish-speaking audience due to her ability to sing in Spanish as well. In March 2003, Delua was nominated for Who's Who in America and is a current finalist in an international singer/songwriter competition-Festival de Cancion.
Delua performs at musical showcases, open-mics, and music festivals.
